American Towers Tower Cedar Hill is the name of two guyed TV Tower at Cedar Hill, Texas, USA.
Tower 1 is located at 32°35'20.0" N and 96°58'05.9" W. It was built in 1999 and has a height of 506.2 metres.
Tower 2 is located at 32°35'22" N and 96°58'12.9" W. It was built in 1980 and has a height of 472.7 metres.

The hill was almost completely surrounded by water, Smith's Cove and Salmon Bay and the marsh that connected them on the west, Lake Union on the east, and a creek that connected Lake Union and Salmon Bay to the north.
Native Americans of the Shilshole, Duwamish, and Suquamish tribes camped around the base of the hill to gather fish and shellfish, and to hunt.
A meadow south of the hill was called baba'kwob or prairies. It stretched between Lake Union and Elliott Bay and the tribes trapped ducks flying between Lake Union and Elliott Bay in nets.

Folks at this end of Beacon Hill are literally within a two-mile radius of most of downtown and the density increases as I near the edge of the hill.
First Hill itself and all the medical facilities on the top can be seen directly in front and to the east the beginning of the Rainier Valley and the towns across Lake Washington as well as the Cascade Range beyond.

First, most people in the Towers had sufficient time to evacuate (including my father, who was visiting the 44th floor of the North Tower and caught a glimpse of the plane approaching).
When I saw the footage of the towers collapsing I was almost positive he was dead because I didn't think there was enough time for him to escape.
I heard some reports that in one tower the stairwell was intact even on the floors of impact so many could have quickly escaped before becoming overcome with the smoke.
