We found the sparrow in the wet, weedy ditch/hedgerow on the west side of the gravel lane, near the highway with a small flock of sparrows - one Harris' Sparrow and several other Spizellas which we didn't see well enough to identify with certainty.
We returned about mid-day and found no sparrows in the hedgerow other than the everpresent Savannahs and a few Vespers, both of which are foraging in the fields on either side of the gravel lane.
In addition to the Tree Sparrow, we were able to find large flocks (1000 - 2000 birds) of Lapland Longspurs in the same area I reported finding them yesterday, along with smaller numbers (200-500) of McCown's Longspurs in the same location.
