The bad points are that it's a bit expensive and CD32 joypads won't work when plugged into the four player adaptor (but they still work if you plug them into the side controller ports).
All Amigas feature a special co-processor as part of their custom chipset, which allows some graphic chip functions such as colour palette manipulation to happen asynchronously to other tasks, freeing the CPU for other work.
These can be read by the CD32 if you can find a CD-ROM with a photo CD reader on it, use it as a slave drive, or expand it to a computer and download the proper (freely distributable) software.

CD32 disks contain a data track which contains program data in exactly the same way that floppy disks and hard disks do, and the CD32 will 'boot' from a CD in the same way any Amiga will boot from a floppy disk.
The CD32 does have one large monster-sized expansion connector, which carries all the relevent lines to add all the missing ports to with an external board.
CD32 requires the AGA chipset, and none of these machines come with, or can be upgraded to, the AGA chipset.

From the creators of Amiga Format this mag was first a supplement of Amiga Format magazine, and was later sold as an own magazine.

It's an object motion and time game, where you have to match the pattern of objects shown in a box on the right-hand side of the screen by moving in the box on the left-hand side.

good case in point, the amiga 500 had pal/ntsc switching added to later models (dont recall offhand if it was the 500+ or ECS or whichever), as there was far more PAL software than NTSC due to their greater popularity in europe, so commodore released a pal/ntsc switchable monitor, the 1084S.
Hey, abionic, that 1080 monitor for the amiga 500 that you mention, is it compatible with the cd32?.

The Amiga CD32 was a last-ditch effort to make money from the aging Commodore Amiga line in the early 1990s.
I think the CD32 was a wickedly clever way to recycle the dying Amiga platform.
The CD32 reached the European market in late 1993, although an unresolved patent lawsuit in the USA prevented Commodore from marketing the system in North America.

The CD32 used a proprietary interface for the CD drive (Not IDE or SCSI) Sure, you could just add a regular CD-ROM to your 1200, but you would not have an Akiko chip (full-motion, but not full-screen graphics and C2P chip).
A lot of CD32 titles were "Semi-shovelware" with an FMV intro or perhaps a CD music track being the only real difference between versions.
