Gabriel's Church, in Amity Township, Douglassville, Berks County, where Martha Barefoot and some of Benjamin's children were baptized, was founded as Morlatton, a Lutheran congregation served by Swedish and German pastors, and then became an Episcopal Church, St. Gabriel's.
Barefoot) was born on 10 Dec 1791 in Lancaster County or Berks County, Pennsylvania and baptized on 2 Jul 1797.
She died on 4 Apr 1873 in Delaware Township, Hancock County, Ohio, at age 77, and was buried in Burson (Castor) Cemetery, Delaware Township, Hancock County, Ohio.

Four years later Amity Township was formed from the top portion of Union and in 1863 the settlement called Miles' Mills incorporated as a borough and was named Union Mills.
The township expected to continue to profit from the oil industry, but a new railroad line was laid directly to Corry from Oil City with Corry as the terminus.
The township had filled with men making barrels, using their wagons to haul oil, mending wagons, refining oil, etc. Some moved their operations elsewhere, but many stayed and became active in working with the other natural product of the area: wood.

The WWTP is located approximately one-half mile south of the intersection of U.S. Route 422 and State Route 662 in the southeast corner of Amity Township.
In an effort to expedite the extension of sewer lines to local areas that are served by failing on-lot septic systems, Amity Township has also requested an emergency action by the DRBC to approve rerating of the plant's treatment capacity.
The WWTP serves Amity, Douglass, Union and Exeter Townships, all in Berks County, Pennsylvania.

In the records of William Bird's iron forges, to which Andrew Sadowski hauled mostly firewood over the years with his team of horses, the last entry I found for him was April 18, 1752, when he plowed Garrett Dewees' garden for planting fresh crops.
For most of that time the patriarch of the family, his children and the children's children were better known as Sadowski than any other variant.
