Lawyer Oscar de la Cruz, 47, son of Amlan Mayor Victorino de la Cruz, was declared dead on arrival at a local hospital, reportedly due to cardiac arrest after he jumped from the second floor of his house.
Zaldy Sienes, a barangay councilor of Amlan reported that De la Cruz's right foot was also badly fractured after he jumped through the window of his two-storey house.
De la Cruz's wife, Theresa, and 11-year old son Vikoy, are now confined at the hospital for bruises and fractures they sustained when they also leaped from the window of their house.

After our works in Negros Island, Rey and I, Pastor Neri and his wife Riza went to Ginatilan Cebu, a town that is highly dominated with Roman Catholics and traditional practices.
