		Amon, the hero of the piece, is reminiscent of Conan the Barbarian but has the long light hair and pretty features of a "bishonen" character.
		Amon is quite handsome and Lichia quite beautiful, with her long blue-green hair and slender, pale, delicate body, but it's not unreasonable to ask for more reason to root for them than that.
		The main reason to watch AMON SAGA is the artwork, including participation in the character design by renowned pop artist Yoshitaka Amano, who's designed video games and anime and done artwork for fantasy and graphic novels.

		Perhaps AMON SAGA's biggest draw is that the character designs were done by Amano Yoshitaka, famous for Vampire Hunter D and Final Fantasy (EX even published a calendar with his works).
		AMON SAGA is primarily an action anime consisting of mostly sword fights with the occasional odd magic battle.
		Overall, AMON SAGA is not awful, but with the amount and choice of anime now available on the North American scene, that is not much of a compliment.

		Valhiss killed Amon's mother after all, and even though Valhiss is a huge armored figure, at the head of a powerful force of brutal warriors and has a dark citadel built on top of the back of a city-sized turtle, nothing will stop our hero from his vengeance.
		Amon is definitely of this school, which explains why even when he rescues the princess, who has made it clear she loves him, he gives her back to her father and heads for the hills.
		Partly because Amon is a stealthy sort, but also because it reduced the amount of detail that needed to be animated.
