Serrasalmus species, Convex Anal Fin piranha unknown
Whatever it is, I have never seen an anal fin in a piranha with that type of morphology, and still presume that it is some kind of variant (or the result of damage).
The anal (convex) fin is hyaline with a thin border.
The caudal fin with a fl band distally to the edge of the fin and the hypural margin is fl with a lighter stripe in the middle.

Fins to the Left, Fins to the Right . . .
Pectoral ("chest") fins are located immediately behind the gill slits, while the pelvic ("hip") fins are situated on the abdomen at the posterior of the belly.
As its name suggests, the anal fin is located near the cloaca (the shark analogue of an anus), posterior to the pelvic fins.
These fins are reminiscent of the serial finlets that occur along the tail stalk of mackerels and tunas - fishes renowned for sustained high-speed cruising.

 Measuring Variation
In fishes, the fins also are formed of repeated parts called fin supports which support the membranes of the fins, and many species of fishes show variation in the number of fin supports.
The object of our study today is to measure the degree of variation in the number of dorsal and anal fin rays in the fluffy sculpin, and to compare the degree of variation found in the two fins.
Numbers of fin supports in the dorsal and anal fins may also be related to the number of body segments.

Guide to coral reef fish larvae: Serranidae, larval groupers basslets hamlets, serranid larvae
On the dorsal fin there are patches of melanophores on the distal membranes between the third and eighth spines, and there are melanophores lining the distal pectoral fin ray membranes and on most of the membranes of the pelvic fins.
On the fins, melanophores concentrate on the distal membranes between the dorsal spines and extensively speckled along the pectoral and pelvic fin ray membranes.
On the caudal fin, there are melanophores at the base of several of the central lower segmented fin rays and a larger patch at the base of the first two or three upper segmented caudal fin rays that presents as a slight upward curve of the main body mid-lateral stripe.

Fins, like other vertebrate appendages, may serve a variety of functions, and some types of fish can even be identified by the type of fin they have.
The anal fin starts just behind the anus, so the position of this fin can be used to mark the end of the body or the beginning of the tail.
