		In June Anasarca signed to Danish MIGHTY MUSIC and the second Anasarca album "Moribund" was released the middle of February 2001 by the Danish label.

		By the way, these were the ebullient pre-Promise Ring/Get Up Kids/Braid days of emo, when the worse you could "sing," the better, and the more you played with your back to the audience, the cooler.
		Then again, at seven songs in little more than a half hour, Anasarca's Discography 1994-1997I is hardly an extensive "discography" per se, the quintet only releasing two seven-inches and a demo and then calling it a night.
		Anyway, Anasarca had that loosely clattering yet supremely tense Dischordant sound down cold, kinda falling somewhere's between Rites Of Spring's last seven-inch and Hoover's sole album, but stripped of the former's comparatively sunny melodicism and the latter's hypnotic groove-unto-dirge.

		Anasarca have here a solid, listenable debut album which seems to me to be the cream of Repulse's current crop.
		The label's description of them as "a mixture of the grinding US and "melodical" European style" of death metal is pretty accurate, and over _Godmachine_'s 40 odd minute expanse one is treated to doses of each.
		Though I am curious about what "pretentious and brutal death/grind" (apparently the style of their earlier demo) is, I think that Anasarca have probably moved forward to better things with _Godmachine_.
