 | | Over 5,200 miles were logged as the tug towed the ship on its 2,100'of 2¼" wire across the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, stopping in Bermuda and Gibraltar to take on fuel and water for both the tug and the ship. |
 | | In just 96 hours after the contract had been signed with Wijsmuller the tug was alongside the ship transferring fuel and water and making preparations for the tow. |
