Anderson University is a private, liberal arts community established in 1917 and dedicated to the scholarly and spiritual growth of its students.
Anderson University does not discriminate on the basis of faith, race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex, or handicap in the administration of its admission policies, educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletics or other school administered programs, or employment.
Anderson University requires each student to submit an application form and a $20 nonrefundable fee, an official high school transcript, SAT I or ACT scores, two references, a medical form and a personal essay.

The contract for mason work was awarded to Ulrich Brothers at $9,787; carpentry work was awarded to J. Lynch at $9,785; painting was awarded to C. Marvin at $600; plastering was awarded to Alexander Love of Lawrence at $2,200, with E. Carr being made supervising architect of the project.
The second floor of the hall connecting the main building to the north wing is a room furnished for the College literary societies, with built in bookcases and a cloak-room.
Through the years, Anderson Hall has undergone renovation and reconstruction as the building was adapted for differing uses.

The Anderson University (AU) Ensemble began during the mid-seventies when several African American students felt the need to come together and sing praises unto God.
In the early eighties, the late Bill Bridges, a music professor of the college, took a special interest in the choir; he sought professional persons in the community to work with the choir.
In addition, the ensemble became an integral part of the music curriculum; students began receiving college credit for participating in the group and music majors were given ensemble credit for their participation.
