 Anderson County, Part 1
ANDERSON County is situated in the second tier of counties west from Missouri, fifty miles south from the Kansas River, and seventy miles north from the Indian Territory.
It is in extent twenty-four miles square, and is bounded on the north by Franklin County, on the east by Linn, on the south by Allen, and on the west by Coffey.
Previous to the settlement of the county by white men, it was occupied by the Pottawatomie Indians, who were removed from Indiana to their Kansas Reserve in 1837, by the United States Government.

 Anderson County Kansas Economic Development and Available Properties
GARNETT: The $46.5 million East Kansas Agri-Energy (EKAE) ethanol plant took on its first load of grain on June 10, 2005, marking the startup of the seventh ethanol plant in the state of Kansas.
The plant will use approximately 13 million bushels of corn and grain sorghum per year to produce 35 million gallons of ethanol and more than 115,000 tons of dried distillers grains, a high-nutrient livestock feed.
The East Kansas Agri-Energy ethanol plant has realized 30-plus new jobs to Garnett and will stimulate the agriculture economy by purchasing corn and sorghum from area farmers.

In September, 1920 he moved to Anderson County, Kansas, and in the spring of 1926 he moved to the little town of Harris, Kansas, where he spent his last days.
According to her obituary she moved with her parents to Newton County, Missouri when she was 10 years old.
She is buried in Bethel Cemetery, Garnett, Kansas; Occupation: Housekeeper; Religion: Old German Baptist Brethren.
