Now with Louie Anderson it's just horrible, the show always had the families act kind of phony but it's really bad now, Louie Anderson is OK as a comedian but he isn't funny on this show, and the excitement just isn't there.
That Louie Anderson just doesn't fit the show, not to mention that while all the women were eager to kiss Dawson, the closest they'll get to Anderson is far enough so that he can't reach them, and close enough so that they're still in the camera's field of view.
Richard Dawson was a great host and my favorite of the series, but he always took too long blabbing with contestants and especially at the end of his run, started mumbling a lot.

Throughout his set, Anderson would often motivate the crowd to make the best out of the performance, insisting that a live concert can only be as good as the people who attend it want it to be.
At times, Anderson can be less of a rocker and more of a cheerleader, getting a sometimes jaded crowd to come out of their shells and sing a long and clap to Jason's upbeat, rockin tunes.
Anderson and his backup band could capture a wide array of emotions and styles and use them to keep the audience guessing what path the show was going to venture down.
