The milk provided by the goat Heidrun, which stands on top of the world tree and eats its leaves, forms the basic ingredient for the mead drunk by the Aesir.

Andhrimnir was the official cook for both the Aesir and the Einherjar.
Every night, the boar would be restored to life, so that it could be eaten again the next day.
To make the mead that was drunk by the Aesir, Andhrimnir would take the milk from the goat Heidrun, which stands on the World Tree (Yggdrasil) and eats its leaves.
