PHP - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Originally designed as a high level scripting language for producing dynamic Web pages, PHP is used mainly in server-side application software.
PHP was originally designed as a small set of Perl scripts, followed by a rewritten set of CGI binaries written in the C programming language by the Danish-Canadian programmer Rasmus Lerdorf in 1994 to display his résumé and to collect certain data, such as how much traffic his page was receiving.
Zeev Suraski and Andi Gutmans, two Israeli developers at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, rewrote the parser in 1997 and formed the base of PHP 3, changing the language's name to the recursive initialism "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor".

 Caucasus Foundation
Along with the consonants that occur in all the Caucasian languages, the Abkhazo-Adyghian languages are characterized by different sets of labialized consonants (formed by rounding the lips), strong (hard or tense) consonants, half-hushing consonants, and velarized consonants (formed with the back of the tongue approaching the soft palate).
The consonant systems of the Nakh languages are relatively simple, coinciding, on the whole, with those of the South Caucasian languages (apart from a number of pharyngeal consonants characteristic of all the Nakh languages and a lateral sound peculiar to Bats).
All the Caucasian languages have a series of stops of three types--voiced, voiceless aspirated, and glottalized (i.e., pronounced, respectively, with vibrating vocal cords; with vocal cords not vibrating but with an accompanying audible puff of breath; and with accompanying closure of the glottis [space between the vocal cords]).

Some linguists propose that Indo-European languages are part of a hypothetical Nostratic language superfamily, and attempt to relate Indo-European to other language families, such as South Caucasian languages, Altaic languages, Uralic languages, Dravidian languages, Afro-Asiatic languages.
The western languages generally use /s/ as a plural marker, though it is silent in spoken French, while the eastern languages use vowels.
The Slavic languages are spoken in Eastern Europe and Russia and are the harder of the three language groups analyzed to learn.

The Northeast Caucasian languages, also called East Caucasian, Caspian, or Dagestan, are a family of languages spoken mostly in Dagestan, Northern Azerbaijan and Georgia.

None of the Andi or Dido languages are written; Avar is used as the literary language.

Zeev Suraski and Andi Gutmans, two Israeli developers of the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, rewrote the parser in 1997 and formed the base of PHP 3, changing the language's name to its current recursive form.
One major part of PHP which has helped it become popular is that it is a very loose language; in particular, it is dynamically typed.
According to Netcraft's April 2002 survey, PHP is now the most deployed server-side scripting language, running on around 9 million of the 37 million domains in their survey.

This page gives the sources for each language on the Numbers from 1 to 10 page.
Sometimes half the work in dealing with a new language is finding out what it is, and relating it to the sometimes wildly varying classifications from Ruhlen, Voegelin, and the Ethnologue.
There are notes relating to this, as well as information on dialects, and names of languages I don't have yet.

In most cases, there is little or no difference at all between the three languages.
