		André Cymone was born André Simon Anderson, and his contribution to Prince’s early career should never be underestimated.
		Cymone’s sister Linda Anderson soon joined on keyboards, and with Terry Jackson and William Doughty on percussion the band Grand Central was formed.
		Cymone signed with Columbia Records (who had initially turned down Prince) and was able to convince Columbia to give him the same creative freedoms that Prince had obtained from Warner Bros. Cymone’s first self-produced and -performed album came out in early 1982, entitled ‘Livin In The New Wave’.

		If his solo material resembled the first three Prince albums, the argument that he didn't receive the credit he deserved would carry more weight, but if it didn't sell nearly as well (of course it wouldn't sell nearly as well), he'd be seen as a coattail rider.
		Cymone also earns bonus points for mentioning his full name, even if he's quoting Kelly.

		Last time I spoke to Andre was a little over a year ago.
		At least that is what he conveyed to me. Two, although Andre is a multi-instumentalist like P, he's not as a bassist, anywhere on the level as a Stanley Clarke, Tisdale, Wooten.
		I don't really know much about Andre, i do know that Prince supposedly borrowed ideas from him and they had somewhat of a falling, but I don't know much about his whole story or what his career was like after he left Prince's band.

	1982/83
		Minneapolis inspired synths and electronic drum programming were employed by André in an attempt to try and create a futuristic landscape/concept on this self written, produced and performed project.
		André continued the "nu wave" concept of the first album with his second release the following year.
		Some new ideas were present in his use of electronic instruments, but his songwriting on the whole remained pretty weak.
