Andre's policies to get all forms of Government regulation out of our lives and our pocketbooks had much appeal for millions of Americans, but I'm not sure his positions on abolishing public education and legalizing drugs and prostitution were as broadly endorsed.

My mom is Krystyna Marrou and my father is André Verne Marrou.
We lived in Newton, Massachusetts until I was about 8 years old, and then we moved to Wareham, Massachusetts (the "armpit" of Cape Cod).
Neither one of us got back into it, though I got my brother André and my friend Mike Smith interested (and both are also now fl belts).

And the news never did even mention the fact that the Libertarian Party and Andre Marrou were not invited either.

I was very relieved when Nancy's and Andre's travel paths crossed in Illinois April 5, where they were able to sit down with National Committee member Steve Givot and talk through their con-cerns about staffing and about campaign strategy and tactics.
At this meeting Andre and Nancy agreed to form a three-person Operating Committee to serve as a management buffer between the candidates and the staff.
Andre returned to Las Vegas later that day, and the report I received was that both Andre and the campaign staff were comfortable with this new arrangement.

I am for limited government in large part because people are too dangerous to be trusted with extensive government.
But the most striking thing about Marrou's statement is not that a libertarian might believe it (in my experience, libertarians are as capable as anyone of holding nut-ball notions) but that a Libertarian presidential candidate would say it.
Of course, Marrou's homespun philosophy is also impolitic.
