One of Martin's first prominent roles was as the bookish sorority sister Phyllis in the 1974 Canadian slasher Black Christmas.
Celebrities impersonated by Martin on SCTV include: Barbra Streisand, Indira Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Harriet Andersson, Joyce DeWitt, Joan Baez, Ethel Merman, Connie Francis, Anna Magnani, Sally Field and Liza Minnelli.

Andrea Ravinett Martin, the dynamic founder of the nationally recognized Breast Cancer Fund and a woman who climbed mountains in an effort to bring attention to the cause, died Wednesday of brain cancer at her home in Corte Madera.
