Andrea McArdle is an Irish-American singer and actress.
McArdle's big break came in early 1977 when she was pulled from the chorus to replace the star in the Broadway musical Annie during rehearsals.
McArdle has performed in the showrooms of many of the casino hotels in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, and in cabarets such as Odette's in New Hope, Pennsylvania and the King Cole Room at the St. Regis Hotel and Freddy's Supper Club in Manhattan.

So he promoted Andrea McArdle, who was then turning 13, from her role as a bullying orphan to Annie.
McArdle, 38, now lives in New Rochelle, New York, with her husband, songwriter Edd Kalehoff, 56, and their daughter Alexis, 13, who acted with McArdle (playing Young Cosette to McArdle's Éponine) in a 1997 Philadelphia production of "Les Misérables."

Andrea McArdle shines in the title role, most notably with the classic anthem "Tomorrow," while Tony-winner Dorothy Loudon and Reid Shelton provide support as the hag Miss Hannigan and the benevolent Daddy Warbucks, respectively.
Many of the songs didn´t survive the final cut, but "Just Wait" eventually became "Little Girls" and "We Got Annie" was resurrected for the 1982 film.

The performers on the OBCR are excellent, particularily Andrea McArdle who is quite possibly the best child performer i have ever heard, and i know many musicals featuring children.
Some of my favorite songs are Maybe, We'd like to thank you Herbert Hoover, and NYC, but there is not one song on the recording which is not enjoyable and the early practice tapes are also interesting.
