He passed through Hamburg and stayed for some time in Leipzig, where he lived at the home of his brother, Andreas, who was the owner there of a big tobacco factory.
Their meeting took place on September 2 in Baden, South of Vienna, where Beethoven was then living, and it must have been one of the greatest experiences of Kuhlau's life.

EURO 2008 not in Switzerland? - Credit Suisse emagazine
Christoph Graf, editor of "Sport Magazin", said that at times like this he wished Switzerland were more like Kuwait.
Just look at Chelsea, where the new stadium with its restaurants and shops has injected new life into the district, and EURO 1996 in England in general, which thanks to the new stadiums made a significant contribution to overcoming the English problem with hooligans.
For Christoph Graf, it is clear that Switzerland as a whole, and not just Zurich, would be the laughing stock of Europe, and Switzerland would probably not be awarded any major sporting events for a long time to come.
