 | | Alphonso P. Cash was born June 19, 1868, and was married September 18, 1890, to Miss Cora Mountfort, a daughter of Sewall Mountfort, of the town of Gray. |
 | | Cash and his family occupy the old homestead of his grandfather, Stephen Cash, who was one of the prominent men of his day; but at the present time he is erecting a handsome residence near his place of business, to which he will remove as soon as it is completed. |
 | | Cash was honored by being elected a member of the first Board of Selectmen, and during the same year was appointed Postmaster, the post-office, which received the name of Cash's Corner, being established in his store. |
