Andrew Divoff is probably best known in his role as The Djinn in the Wishmaster series, but he has also been in over 70 feature film and television rolls, such as 'Another 48 Hours' and 'Alias'.

The Djinn (Divoff) is once again released from his prison, this time by a cute art thief (Fields) but he needs to collect 1001 souls before he can get the 3 wishes that will connect his world to ours.
Andrew Divoff (Djin) is having a jolly old time, going further with his interpretation of the Djin.
But Sholder capitalizes on Divoff’s presence, makes the movie look slick and moves the film at a quick pace…maybe too quick…It’s too bad the visual effects (computer ones) are weak, they tarnish the movie’s feel.

Anthony Straun is no Herbert West, but Andrew Divoff clearly relishes the opportunity to play a man that gives off the aura of being a refined intellectual who is really a diabolical madman given to fits of often drug-induced outbursts.
A junkie hooked on his own rage formula, the crazy-eyed, teeth-gritting expression on Divoff’s face after dosing up can only be compared to Beavis when he experienced a sugar high strong enough to unleash his alter ego, The Great Cornholio.
Divoff is in top form here and he breathes scene-chewing gusto into a character whose ultimate ambitions are a bit more muddled than they should be.

This movie including a spectacular performance from Andrew Divoff, who really brings the essence of the film to life.

The actors did a pleasant job with the movie, especially Andrew Divoff who has the most evil voice to be heard on film (in my opinion).
Now, I must say that Divoff is excellent but a lot of people don't give Novak the credit in which he deserves.
Think about how hard it is to fill Divoff's shoes with this role, not just in the acting but in the voice.

Divoff and Morehead handle the hero duties with aplomb, while Prochnow is extremely vile as the lead terrorist.
Even when the film gets silly (the cargo plane develops in-flight problems, and Divoff and Prochnow are forced to dump the fighters out the back of the plane and then kick-start them as they plummet) it's still inviting.
Sure, it's filled with cliches (the freshly scrubbed co-pilot played by Rick Marzan is on his last flight, so you just know something horrible is going to happen to him), but the director tackles these obstacles with tight editing.

You don't necessarily have to be in good movies to qualify as a That Guy, and Andrew Divoff is proof of that.
One thing that sets Andrew Divoff apart from the rest of the "B movie" crowd is his genuine love for acting and his movies, regardless of the quality.
This love and gratitude for his fans comes across both in interviews and in his official website, which for all intents and purposes appears to be maintained by Divoff himself.

Horror Movie Review | Wishmaster 1 (1997), Wishmaster 2 (1999) Andrew Divoff, Tammy Lauren
Andrew Divoff ("Faust") plays the Djinn in human form, and the actor is the one good thing about this movie.
There isn't nearly as much gore as the first, and the lead character's investigation and nightmares about the Djinn are all essentially remakes from the original.
Still, despite the Djinn's power seeming less grand, star Andrew Divoff seems to have a much better handle on his character, and he's fabulous as the Djinn, who doesn't seem as much "evil" as he is just wicked.

Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies Movie Review - BLOODY-DISGUSTING.COM
This movie has a lot of good stuff in it; I love this film for the huge fact that Andrew Divoff (The Djinn) plays his character even farther than he did in the first one.
Andrew did a wonderful job this time around and I think that it?s sad he didn?t play the role in any progressing films.
Another big upshot was the death scenes used for the film, we get more red sauce, a guy gushing out his insides, another who screws himself to death, and a wonderful slaughter finale as in the first.
