		Andrew Toney (born November 23, 1957 in Birmingham, Alabama) is a former professional basketball player who played for the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers from 1980-1988.
		Toney was drafted by the Sixers out of Southwestern Louisiana, now Louisiana-Lafayette, with the eighth pick of the 1980 NBA Draft.
		Toney's son Channing currently plays NCAA basketball at the University of Georgia.

		Richard Kendall, a urologist at Temple University Hospital, said the surgery was done to loosen a twist in Toney's spermatic cord.
