  CMT.com : Andrew Weatherall : Biography
Weatherall founded a fanzine called Boys Own in the late '80s and soon established himself as a leading DJ in London's acid house scene.
That association led to Weatherall remixing New Order's "Worlds in Motion" and, along with Paul Oakenfold, the Happy Mondays' "Hallelujah." Primal Scream, which at the time was a middling band on Creation's roster, sought out Weatherall for what would become the Top 20 single "Loaded" and production on the groundbreaking Screamadelica.
That same year, Weatherall formed the Sabres of Paradise with Jagz Kooner and Gary Burns, which released a series of pioneering, ambient experimental techno singles and EPs on Weatherall's Sabrettes label (also collected on two Warp Records compilations).

Leave it to DJ-producer-indiedancegod Andrew Weatherall to deliver Nine O'Clock Drop, a disc that both grabs and keeps you.
Weatherall proves himself a prospector nonpareil when it comes to mining the late '70s and early '80s roots-of-electronic-music vein that Rhino's Machine Soul tried to tap with markedly less success.
The unmixed 13 tracks, serving as a bit of a soundtrack to Weatherall's pharmacological warrior days (check the title), represent a broad range of styles, from experimental-industrial (23 Skidoo) to reggae (Aswad and, less obviously, Colourbox) to new wave (Chris and Cosey, the Normal) to the completely indescribable (Mad Professor's dub shakedown of "400 Blows").

Andrew Weatherall has carved out a well-respected career in British techno.
As a producer moving from the sounds of Madchester to downbeat to experimental techno through the '90s, Weatherall could've easily ridden the big beat (Chemical Brothers) or high-profile-DJ (Oakenfold) waves at the end of the decade, choosing instead to pursue -- and in many ways define -- a more cutting-edge, IDM approach.

Brainwashed - Andrew Weatherall, "The Bullet Catcher’s Apprentice"
As a household name for anyone who knows his or her electronic music, it’s a surprise that its taken this long for Andrew Weatherall’s to drop his first solo record.
Always seen as more of an ideas man than a knob twiddler, this five track EP reveals again his skill for crossing the genre gaps and keeping his vision as eclectic as ever, but this time on his own.
Normally from LP to LP you can rely on Weatherall’s perfidy, his progressions from style-to-style ditching conquered musical territories in his wake.

World Famous Pontani Sisters; Andrew Weatherall; DJ Danny Krivit
The eclectic monthly Pop Your Funk is back with a stellar guest, Andrew Weatherall, one-half of Two Lone Swordsmen (who made electro before it was trendy or popular, and it wasn't Casio keyboard crap, either).
Weatherall is a fine DJ, and usually mixes a punishing kind of techno, but tonight he will be spinning a "special brand of punk-funk." I have no idea what that is exactly, but it'll be lovely, I'm sure.
