The Tsar cannon is one of the brilliants in the museum's collection of weapons.
The court caster Andrey Chokhov founded it in 1586 by order of tsar Feudor Ioannovich.
This 40-ton cannon is considered to be the biggest in the World: its caliber equals 890 mm, the length of the barrel - 5.34 metres (17,6 feet).

The Moscow Kremlin has accumulated a rich collection of early Russian and captured guns.
One of these, the famous Czar Cannon (Czar Pushka), was cast in 1586 by Andrey Chokhov.
The craftsman cast a great many large and beautifully decorated guns and also church bells.
