Andy Hamilton is a British comedian, game show panelist, director and comedy scriptwriter for television and radio.
He was born in Fulham, South West London and educated at grammar school before reading English at Downing College, Cambridge, where he was a member of the Cambridge University Light Entertainment Society (CULES).
Hamilton first came to major notice whilst performing in the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the 1970s.

Hamilton was born in Port Maria, Jamaica, and learnt to play saxophone on a bamboo instrument.
Hamilton emigrated to the U.K. in 1949, living and working in Birmingham.
In 1996 Hamilton was awarded an Honorary Master of Arts degree by Birmingham University, and in 1999 he received a Millennium Fellowship for his work in Community Education (which has involved the establishment of The Ladywood Community School of Music, supported by the Millennium Commission).
