  Andrew Manatos - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Andrew Manatos (born 1947) was a former Assistant Secretary of Commerce in the administration of President Jimmy Carter.
He is notable for his activity in the Greek-American community in the United States; he serves on the board of several Hellenic organizations, including the Hellenic-American Heritage Council and the Coordinated Effort of Hellenes.
Manatos is the son of Emmanuel "Mike" Manatos, who was a significant lobbyist for Greek-Americans during the Johnson administration.

Somewhere along the line Mike Manatos was brought to my attention.
These were supplemented from time to time by others over those years: Chuck Daly, who later was vice president of Harvard and the University of Chicago; Dick Donahue, a very prominent, very able attorney from Massachusetts and a long-time Kennedy associate.
And there were others in later years, but basically the White House staff started with Manatos, Henry Hall Wilson, and Claude Desautels, my administrative assistant, and my long-time secretary, Phyllis Maddock.

A delegation of leading members of the Greek-American community were received by United States President Bill Clinton in the White House yesterday, during the annual ceremony for the signing of the declaration on Greek Independence Day by the US leader.
Archbishop of America Spyridon and Greece's Deputy Foreign Minister on Greeks Abroad Issues Grigoris Niotis, led the delegation which included Greece's Ambassador in Washington Alexandros Philon, the President of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE) Andrew A. Athens, Greek-American Congressman Paul Sarbanis and the President of the National Coordinating Committee Andy Manatos.
Niotis, developments in Kosovo were discussed during the courtesy meeting, while President Clinton expressed his personal interest in the Greek minority in southern Albania as well as on the prevention of the war from spreading.
