The clinical experience available at OSU sufficiently permits our residents to complete the majority of their clinical case requirements by the end of their CA-2 year, leaving the CA-3 year for the pursuit of subspecialties of interest, without being encumbered by having to complete case requirements.
With the exception of the mandatory two-month rotation in pediatric anesthesia at Columbus Children’s Hospital, and a one-month rotation in regional anesthesia at OSU Hospitals’ East, the residents spend their entire training at OSU Hospitals, providing opportunity for long-lasting friendships with each other and for a high degree of familiarity with the attending staff.
