		Angel Cop I saw this a few months ago and was greatly impressed and is up there with my favourites (you can see how my views differ from the other previous guys).
		The female cop shows up, she is OBVIOUSLY a female, but when she takes off her helmet, they have to show it 4 times like it's some big surprise.
		Angel Cop We have a new candidate for the single worst anime I have had the misfortune of veiwing.

	Attack of the 50 Foot DVD: Angel Cop (1989)
		In the first episode of this six episode series we meet Raiden a tough SSF agent who is trying to hunt down a Communist terrorist group called the Red May. He is teamed with stoic female cop Angel, but on one of their first missions together Raiden is crippled.

		To be fair, the cheesy tag-line doesn't describe Angel Cop accurately at all - it isn't set in much of a nightmare future and violence isn't the only law, but we do get an entertaining anime and lots of it.
		Before long, Angel's partner is turned into a half-human half-cyborg super cop, the Red May are dropping like flies for no good reason and a group with powerful physic powers keep turning up to ruin the party.
		The other characters predictably play back-up to Angel, but there are a few notable cases, especially the little girl who can encase herself in flames and her leather-clad rock guardian who has the ability to warp time and space.

		Angel Cop is not one of the best animes I have ever seen, but it's certainly not the worst (Tekken holds that dubious title, if you disagree tell me and I'll take your comments into considerations when I finally find pictures from it to add them to the site).
		It centers around Angel, a beautiful but deadly Special Forces officer who bites into more than she can chew when the terrorist organisation the Red May start to get killed by others than the ones appointed to kill them, namely the Special Forces.
		Angel catches up with the leader, and seems unconcerned with Raidens accident, apart from the fact that he has vanished from the scene with little trace left of the accident that happened.

	The Thin Dead Line
		She has bobbed up a couple of times though, enough to let us know she is still languishing in X File territory, unable to establish any facts but still burning with the desire to rid LA of demon activity.
		When she works out that the cop Angel just killed is long since dead, they get down to the cemetary to check out the grave.
		Angel and Kate hoik it around to the local precinct to discover the cops there are very unfriendly and unco-operative.

		In both incarnations, Angel Cop is a very violent show, though probably a bit tame by some of the stuff out there.
		Without any real connection to the characters, no knowledge of their past or their life goals and knowing so many of the people they were supposed to protect were corrupt, there was little to really root for in the end, for either side.
		Angel Cop is interesting on a few levels, but doesn't really bring itself outside of it's violence in any meaningful way.

		In the series "Angel Cop", the dubbing is certainly satisfactory with the exception of the voice of Flare - they should have found a young girl to say the lines.
		Angel Cop, the manga done by Taku Kitazaki, was published by Newtype Comics in 1990 and 1991.
		Angel is a nice girl (nicer than in the OVA series, anyway) who becomes "enhanced" after being badly wounded from a run-in with the Hunters, intent on killing Tachihara.
