  Measuring propshaft Angles
Both working angles should be equal within specifications; however, as shown below, the front working angle (from the pinion gear to the propshaft) will be angled upward and the rear working angle (from the transfer case to the propshaft) will be angled upward.
Instead, the pinion angle is pointed downwards at the same angle the transfer case front output shaft (which is the same angle as the transfer case rear output shaft) is pointing up.

The resistance between one end of the ring and the contact is proportional to the shaft angle.

Jeepwire.Com Presents: Setting Your Pinion Angle
If the angles are off the U-joints will still cause the speed to change at the same time (unless the drive shaft is twisted) but in different amounts, causing vibration.
In a perfect world the pinion could be pointed paralell with the drive shaft when using a CV joint so that all four caps on the lower U-joint will spin in the same circle to prevent the single lower U-joint from speeding up and slowing down as it rotates, which would cause a vibration.
The pinion angle must be 2 degrees below the drive shaft in to cause the needles to move and be lubricated.

Review: High Angle Driveline Project Potent Rodent - Chevy/GM at Off-Road.com
The rear 1350 CV shaft requires a fixed yoke 205 which shouldn’t be a problem since almost all 205’s have this.
To install the new CV shaft in the rear, Jesse includes a special custom flange that bolts on to the existing shaft in place of the fixed yoke.
This shaft has a much longer slip shaft which is needed more in the front than the rear.

shaft angle, A for rear axle angle - all 3 related to a level floor-, F for front and R for rear - both related to the prop.
The angle is an important factor in the fluctuation in rotational speed of the prop.
From the manual I think I read the front angle F between the engine and drive shaft should be equal to the rear angle R between the drive shaft and the rear axle.

 Free Driveline Assembly Troubleshooting Information
Ideally, the operating angles on each end of the driveshaft should be equal to or within 1 degree of each other, have a 3 degree maximum operating angle and have at least 1/2 of a degree continuous operating angle.
When angles are read from either of the 90 degree marks (vertically - on the flange) do not record the angle shown on the protractor since the 90 degree marks must be understood to be the same as 0 degrees on the horizontal plane.
Check the forward axle input yoke angle by removing a bearing assembly and measuring the angle on the yoke lugs or on a flat surface of the angle housing parallel or perpendicular to the input yoke lug plane.

 Pinion Angle Alignment - 1
Before you attach the angle finder, roll the vehicle forward or backward until one end of the pinion yoke is parallel to the ground, as shown in the above picture.
All of the angle is taken up in the double cardan joint (the two u-joints at the other end of the drive shaft).
If the angle on your pinion is several degrees less than the drive shaft, then you need to lengthen your upper arms a bit to bring your pinion and drive shaft closer into alignment.

The extreme angle fluctuations and the changes made to Block No. 4 would seem to indicate that, at this point, the ancient Egyptians ran into a conflict with the Great Gallery, which was being constructed at the same time, and thus were unable to adhere exactly to the originally intended shaft angle.
Only further measurements in the still unexplored upper areas of the shaft will tell whether the intended angle is several degrees smaller than that of the southern shaft, or whether both shafts were to be constructed at the same angle, that is, quasi-symmetrically.
Sticking out of the shaft, at the point where it angles to the West, a square rod lies on the shaft floor, extending to the East wall.

 High Angle Driveline
After a call to Jess we were convinced High Angle Driveline would be making our drivelines, he suggested their 1350 CV (1 ton) joints and flanges at the t-case ends with ultra stout 1450 joints at the axle ends.
Because we went with a CV style shaft the rear axle needed to be within 2-3 degrees of the rear t-case output.
With the rear shaft installed we checked our angle with an angle finder only to find out that our rear axle yoke was at 12 degrees while our drive shaft operating angle was around 20 degrees, a difference of 8 degrees.

Among other things, the positions of the diffraction spots on the array depend on the position and angle of incidence of the reflected laser beam on the grating and these, in turn, depend on the angle of the facet, which depends on the angle of rotation of the shaft.
The distribution of light on the array is thus a known function of the angle of the facet.

Lightning Paddles - Paddle Basics, Paddle Length
However, a more horizontal shaft angle and a wide boat means that the shaft meets the water much farther from the boat, so it takes a longer shaft to get the blade into the water.
Low angle paddling is a common sea touring style, but not found much in white water because of the basic inefficiency problems it causes in that paddling discipline.
The terms high angle and low angle come from the angle of the shaft in relation to the water surface.

 JUNIORLINKS
The angle of the shaft at address is key due to the fact that it complements the direction, trajectory and the quality of the contact with the ball.
With the angle of the shaft leaning towards the left hip, it allows itself to move back directly along the target line, as a result of the the body rotating in balance back away from the target in the takeaway.
If the shaft was too vertical at address, it would tend to get the hands more involved in the takeaway, therefore turning the golf club into a power source, losing your direction control.

Also, High Angle Driveline driveshafts are built with improved balance and stiffness that result in less drivetrain vibration and component wear, as well as improved driver comfort, and reduced noise.

For those who require or desire it, High Angle Driveline can make your shaft with either.120" wall tubing or even.250" The latter is only for very special requirements, as it is hard to balance, and spinning a shaft of that much weight is hard on the other drivetrain components.

The new shaft is much fatter, has a higher spline count, and is several inches shorter than the stock one.
This causes the operating angle to be steeper, which in turn causes a binding effect on the u-joints at the ends of the drive shaft, leading to vibration.

what actually causes vibes on 97- xj's, driveshaft angle? - JeepsUnlimited.com Forums
I would think with the length of the rear xj shaft and the proper rear pinion angle, it would be fine with mild lifts.
ideally, the path b/w the output shaft and the pinion on the axle should be a straight line, but since with high lifts thats not really feasible, DC shafts work to correct that.
The reason the rear has trouble is because of the increased angle, and the single joint near the Slip Splines binds and causes vibrations.

 Hollow Shaft Gearmotors
These factors are driving many engineers to consider hollow shaft gearmotor solutions in a wide variety of applications, from conveyors to printing and packaging machinery as well as medical equipment.
This female/male interface eliminates expensive shaft couplings as well as mounting hardware and chains or sprockets, as well as cumbersome and costly chain guards, which otherwise might be used to connect the gearmotor to the load.
A hollow shaft mounting not only saves space on conveyors but a hollow shaft flange mount can eliminate the need for a support bearing on one side of a conveyor roller.

Rear Toe Settings vs. half-shaft angle - Corvette Forum
I've not been able to grasp the statements that for better toe settings, the axle shafts (VIP) or upper/lower struts (Six-Link) need to be statically set at a certain angle.
To lock in the axle shafts at a particular angle (inner U-joint 1/2" higher than outer - VIP) also locks in the rear ride height unless you move the differential higher/lower in relation to the frame, which would seem to be a PITA.
In the case of an adjustable height rear spring (one with long adjusting bolts) the ride height should be set first to get the proper angle on the halfshafts or to adjust the body height to account for large tires, etc. once this setting is made you can adjust the other two.

Lie angle is the angle created by the centre line of the shaft and the horizontal grooves on the clubface.
If your lie angle is "toe up," you'll tend to hit the ball from right-to-left, and will benefit from a flatter lie angle; if your lie angle is "toe down," you will have a tendency to slice the ball, and will benefit from a more upright lie angle.
The Lie Angle is an angle (4) developed by shaft centre axis (3) and ground viewed from face side.
