Today, I finally got to visit the town of Angono, Rizal which is known as the "Art Capital of the Philippines" and the hometown of two national artists namely Carlos "Botong" V. Francisco for painting and Lucio D. San Pedro for music.
Since Angono was small anyway, we decided to try our luck and drove towards the hills since that would be the best place to look for them.
I saw you in one of the Angono streets and wanted to accost you but then at the last moment I said to myself I was wrong (I didn't expected to see you there.)On the other hand I should have followed my gut feeling.

The town of Angono is some 40 kilometers south of Manila, around 1 hour and 30 minutes away.
The Angono petroglyphs, as they are called, are said to be the oldest known artworks in the Philippines, dating from the 3rd millenium, BC.
These are in the Penablanca caves in Cayagan Valley; the rock outcroppings in Baranggay Alab, Bontoc, Mountain Province; the Anda Peninsula in Bohol; the Singnapan basin caves in Ransang, Southern Palawan; and in Northwestern Palawan.

The town is also home to the Petroglyphs, situated in a rock formation on the hilltops of Angono, believed to be the oldest form of art placed at 4,000 years old, considered one of the world’s endangered sites, according to the Unesco.
