  Angoville au Plain Stained Glass project
A few years ago a call went out from Angoville au Plain, Normandy to help in the restoration of the famed church with the "bloody pews".
On D-Day June 6, 1944 and the days that followed, the church was used as a medical aid station by men of the famed 101st Airborne Division and more specifically two medics from the 501st PIR, named Robert Wright and Kenneth Moore.
You may also contact me regarding donation to the church in Angoville to help with the restoration project.

 Angoville-au-Plain Commemorative Jump 5th June 2004
The official approval was only received by the pilot on June 4th, after much frantic phone calls and faxes from all involved parties to marry up the parachuting requests with the C-47 permissions.
Daniel, the Mayor of Angoville, asked if he could have the damaged chute of the jumper who ended up in the trees bordering the DZ, so that the town could display it every year on the anniversary of D-Day.
We wish to sincerely thank the Mayor and citizens of Angoville-Au-Plain for all of their assistance in helping us to be able to remember and honour the WWII US Airborne Veterans with this commemorative jump.

Cpl. Francis Fernan, member of an 81mm mortar squad, landed on Drop Zone 'D' near Angoville au Plain, France, on the Normandy drop.
He fought between Angoville and St Come du Mont on the first 3 days of the Normandy Invasion, then was in the attack on Hill 30 southeast of Carentan, on 12 June, 1944.
The rest of the time in Normandy combat was spent in the area south of Carentan, near la Billonnerie.
