 Angra C wreck
Angra C, a segment of the bottom of the hull of a very large ship, measuring 14.75 meters in length and having 6 meters at its maximum width, was located below 2 meters of sediment, made of fine silt and sand, at an average depth of 7 meters MSL.
Angra C ballast was in surprisingly small quantity for the size of the ship - estimated at 600 to 800 tons - which points to the hypothetical use of shingle as a primary ballast resource.
Angra C has a double layer of outboard planking, each layer being between 6 and 8 cm thick, making the whole outboard side between 16 and 18 cm thick.

 PROGRESSIVEWORLD.NET: REVIEWS BY STEPHANIE SOLLOW
Here was a premier progressive metal band, from a country outside of Europe -- namely Brazil -- with their star on an steep upward arc, even if the reaction to Fireworks wasn't with the same furvor that people were reacting to, say, Holy Land.
But, whereas before there was this unique "Angra" quality, that little bit extra is gone -- and I can't say which of the departed members it can be attributed to, other than to say that Falaschi has a singing voice that is very much the norm for this genre.
Angra's status as one of the premier progressive metal bands is intact, their star is still ascending, and Rebirth is welcome return and continuation.

Angra and the others get hyped to death, put fans in a frenzy waiting for the release, and then for some reason the buzz dies down instantly.
This does not mean that the discs they release are not great, it just means that fans have come to expect the best from these bands, and once they hear the music, their expectations are either met, or not met, and we continue on in our search for more exciting prog metal.
Angra has taken some of the neo-classical elements of Angel's Cry, injected some of the melodies and orchestrations of Holy Land, and then have expounded on that by adding in that unique and signature Angra sound.

 Angra Mainyu - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Zoroastrianism, Angra Mainyu is the Avestan language name of the hypostasis of the "malign spirit".
According to Haug's interpretation, the "Twin spirits" of 30.3 were Angra Mainyu and Spenta Mainyu, the former being the 'Destructive Emanation' of Ahura Mazda and the latter being His 'Creative Emanation' (see Amesha Spenta for details on the relationship).
In effect, the Angra Mainyu versus Spenta Mainyu theory was simply a rediscovery of the precepts of Zurvanism (Zurvanite Zoroastrianism), with the difference that Angra Mainyu was now not Ahura Mazda's equal, but an emanation of Him.

 Ink 19 :: Angra
About the best description I can give is that Angra is what Rush would sound like if they wrote Megadeth songs.
Angra's songs are of the classic operatic metal variety: dramatic lyrics, themes of chivalry, madness, dreams, etc. "Paradise" tells of gladiators of the Golden Age evolving into today's World Cup soccer stars (no lie!), which has to say something about where Angra's head is at.
I mean, that's a first, as I don't rightly know of any American metal bands who've sung the praises of football lately.
