Saint Mark mentions that Anianus was a cobbler who repaired his sandals.

Eusebius also says Mark's first successor in Alexandria was Anianus, in the 8th year of Nero (61-2).
This doesn't necessarily mean Mark was martyred then (if so it would be inconsistent with Timothy), but only that Anianus took over the See.
