My question to you is: When an atom of, say, Hyrogen is energized with energy, the electron in the valence band absorbs some of that energy and jumps up a quantum level into a higher energy state.
The atom is said to be 'excited' and sooner or later the electron will release a quanta of energy and fall to a lower energy level.

 Alternative-Zine.com - Interviews - Anihilated’s Mark Beuchet...
The band first started out as a punk group in the early 1980’s, I think they all knew each other from school; I first met them when my band at the time Poison did a gig with them.
We ended up doing a few gigs together and when my band had folded and Anihilated decided to add a second guitarist they asked me. My style of playing was a bit more riffy / metal sounding so as they were still a punk band I think some of them were not sure.
The band did carry on for a while with a new guitarist and then also a new bassist but nothing ever came of it.

The band appeared at the Slough festival alongside several of the bands on this site (I mention this as I'm trying really hard to find out info for the forthcoming 'Festivals' page)..........
