The Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf, today appealed to the international community to pressure India into responding favourably to Pakistan's offer for resumption of a dialogue to resolve all outstanding disputes between the two countries.
Talking to the visiting Mauritius Foreign Minister, Anil Kumarsingh Gayan, Gen. Musharraf gave details of the Indo-Pakistan military stand-off, resulting from what he called the massive Indian troop deployment on the borders.
Gayan conveyed the "profound appreciation and support for Pakistan's decision'' to join the international coalition against terrorism and for Gen. Musharraf's speech of January 12.
