Ann Darrow is a fictional character from the King Kong movie.
Ann Darrow will be played by Naomi Watts.
The character Ann Darrow is not included in any other films in the Kong series, though the 1976 remake features a character that is pretty much the same archtype, but re-named "Dwan."

Ann is meanwhile beginning to warm up to Kong, since he saved her from the tyrannosaur and has treated her gently the entire time.
Ann breaks away from Jack and tries to get Kong to pick her up, yelling they won't continue firing if he's holding her, but he pushes her back towards Jack to safety and resumes his fight.

Ann explains that her sister was present in the lab the day of his arrival and Akiko adds that Oniko's henchmen had knocked her out and removed Ann's sister and the other ape-creature.

As a side note, "Ann Darrow" was the name of the woman captured by King Kong in the movie of the same name, while "O'Brien" was Kong's animator.

Alice-Ann Darrow holds a joint appointment in the departments of music andspecial education at the University of Kansas.
Darrow taught in music programs for students with and without disabilities in the Dade County Schools (Miami, FL) before coming to the University of Kansas.

It’s in the scenes between Ann and Kong that you realize what an actress Watts truly is. WETA’s state of the art CGI Kong may be photorealistic and emotionally complete thanks to Andy Serkis’ motion captured performance, but it’s Watts who sells the beast to us.
Kong keeps Ann alive because he fell for her when she proved herself feisty and different than all the other human sacrifices.
He stops the action and has Kong and Ann end up in a park (possibly Central, but going by general geography I feel like it must be Bryant) and have a touching and beautiful moment where Kong slides and plays on a frozen pond.

After Kong peels off some of Ann Darrow's clothes, she's left wrapped in a couple of cloths and her left shoulder is bare.
When they surface, Ann is wearing a swimsuit or something similar (we can see straps on her shoulders).
Just after that, Ann and Jack are running through the jungle back to the village, and Ann's clothes are back to the off-the-shoulder style.

Adrian Brody was also outstanding as the screenwriter that falls in love with Naomi Watts' character Ann Darrow.
The effects on the island were AMAZING as were the action sequences...the monsters and creatures that the director created were as terrific as they were terrible.
My one nitpick: in some places plausibility of relationship between Ann Darrow and Kong was strained.
