Jo Ann Keen has been working for the School of Business Administration for 14 years, twelve of which have been in the department.
When Jo Ann began her career as a secretary some 40 years ago, shorthand was manually taken from dictation and transcribed on manual typewriters which had no special means of correcting an error other than to scratch off the print with an Exacto knife and to manually erase all the copies underneath the original paper.
Needless to say, today’s modern computers are a breeze to use compared to the clunky typewriters of a half century ago.
