NCAW Autumn 02 | Annette Leduc Beaulieu and Brooks Beaulieu on The Thadée Natanson Panels   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-19)
In both of these publications, Groom contends that the Album panels were conceived from the beginning as a kind of innovative, portable decoration intended to be hung as seen fit by its modern, mobile owners in various rooms of their Paris apartment, packed up and carried on summer vacations, and eventually installed in future residences.
In any event, the only true installation the Album panels ever seem to have had was in the Maison de l'Art Nouveau, where they remained on view for several months before being returned to the Natansons, to be hung in an arbitrary manner in their various residences.
But the Album panels are also a moving testament to Vuillard's deep affection for Thadée Natanson, their aesthetic affinities, and their shared enthusiasm not only for the art of Redon but also for the whole range of literary symbolism.

Annbjørg Lien: National Geographic World Music   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-19)
Lien's work on the compilation showed her to be firmly rooted in tradition but with an ear for renewing the music with a broader palette of acoustic instrumentation.
In addition, the album had a strong presence of percussion, which is unusual for Norwegian traditional music, even though country's dance music was always rhythmically propulsive, with beats stamped out by a fiddler's foot.
While Lien continues to promote traditional music through teaching and performances, her own albums show her to be not simply a folk musician representing a single tradition but an artist creating a singular vision.
