Anne replies: Thanks Clive.  There have been and will continue to be opportunities for individuals and their organisations to be involved.  Indeed as we speak, the Prime Minister is discussing the issues with carers in Leeds.  So we are not excluding anybody.
Anne replies: Thanks Nick.  You question has been raised as part of the ongoing disucssion on the Carers' Strategy Review and we are taking very seriously the point made about the pressure on carers and the impact of their mental health and general well-being.
Anne replies: Thanks for coming back to me. I can assure you that the issues you have raised with me today will form part of the discussion that we are curerntly having with carers and their organisations.

At Haverford - Faculty Profile: Anne McGuire
Anne McGuire, professor in the Haverford department of religion since 1982, is in the forefront of the research of the Nag Hammadi Library, focusing especially on the literary interpretation of the texts and their relation to early Christianity and other eastern Mediterranean religions.
McGuire classifies the chief characteristic of Gnosticism as its claim to possess "knowledge of the unknowable." It was that kind of paradoxical claim, she explains, along with the Gnostics' assertion to understand "the hidden aspects of the divine, the self, the cosmos" that incensed the early Christian church and ultimately orchestrated their annihilation.
It was, of course, McGuire's expertise in the literature of the New Testament that originally drew her to the study of Gnosticism, and she still focuses much of her research and coursework on the teachings of Jesus and the early Christian church.

McGuire is always a presence in her videos, whether or not she's in front of the lens, and she shoots her tapes in private, her performances covert and self-contained.
