Annette Louise Ellis (born 13 October 1946), Australian politician, has been an Australian Labor Party member of the Australian House of Representatives since March 1996, representing the Division of Namadgi, Australian Capital Territory 1996-98 and the Division of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory since 1998.
Ellis was a member of the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly 1992-95.
In federal Parliament Ellis was a member of the Opposition Shadow Ministry between 2001 and 2004.

Bulk-billing in Canberra was at its highest level in history in the three months to the end of March this year, showing that claims made in a newsletter produced by the Member for Namadgi (Ms Annette Ellis) were wrong, Federal Minister for Health and Family Services, Dr Michael Wooldridge, told Parliament today.
Answering a question from Gary Nairn, the Member for Eden-Monaro, Dr Wooldridge referred to Ms Ellis' publication Namadgi Advocate dated 19 May 1998, in which it is claimed:
Dr Wooldridge later said that it was a pity that Labor politicians like Ms Ellis were so willing to make claims that had no factual basis when the information could be obtained with a simple phone call to his office or to the Health Insurance Commission.

The Manager of Opposition Business in the House, Julia Gillard (Abbott's opposition counterpart), had noted that "more than 20 Labor members are going to be silenced by this motion which is gagging debate", and when Abbott moved to put the question, "and, here we go, we are going to have a gag on a gag.
As Annette Ellis amongst others was one of the aforementioned speakers who had not the time to speak in the debate, she asked whether she could incorporate her speech into Hansard -- the Government granted leave for all speakers who intended to speak but could not to incorporate their speeches into Hansard.
These amendments failed due to the Government majority in the house, and subsequently the bill was successfully read a third time.
