The 1982 film version of the musical that was loosely based on the comic strip, starred various disposable child actors as Annie, Telly Savalas as Daddy Warbucks, Tim Curry as Rooster, and real orphans played the mostly unnamed orphans.

After winning over Grace Ferrall who has come to the orphanage with a request, Annie is allowed to spend Christmas at the home of Daddy Warbucks, a very rich man.
