DVD Review - Annie Get Your Gun
As famous as "Annie Get Your Gun" is, it had always been a lug-headed take on history.
Rumours to account for "Annie Get You Gun"’s long unavailability tended to center on Irving Berlin.
It was an event when MGM’s "Annie Get Your Gun" was announced for an isolated telecast in 1973, but this was exactly the wrong time to reintroduce to a new generation his greatest work.

THE CINEMA LASER DVD REVIEW-- ANNIE GET YOUR GUN
ANNIE GET YOUR GUN ($25), the MGM movie musical, which has been unseen since 1973 makes its long awaited video debut on DVD and the presentation is a doozy (more on that later).
Based upon the 1946 Broadway musical, which is currently enjoying a highly successful revival, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN tells the story of Annie Oakley (Betty Hutton), who staked her claim to fame as a sharpshooter with Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show in the late 1800s.
ANNIE GET YOUR GUN is presented in its proper full screen aspect ratio and the new digital transfer displays the same type of digital restorative magic that Warner employed for their DVD release of NORTH BY NORTHWEST.

"Annie Get Your Gun" Second Amendment Right to Keep and Bear Arms
Alameda and Los Angeles counties passed the subject ordinances in response to shootings on their fairgrounds and to address concerns that gun shows tarred the image of the counties and promoted violence.
With strong public interest in self-defense emerging since the September 11 terrorist attacks, those unwilling to carry a gun still should resist infringements on their right to bear arms — and we don’t just mean firearms.
Yet, there is some case law that concludes that weapons other than guns — for instance, knives or billy clubs — can qualify as "arms." Challenging state and local ordinances restricting nonlethal weapons may provide jurisprudence that the right to bear arms is not limited to the right to bear firearms.
