On February 1, 2005 nine towns and villages from Ono District and the former Yoshiki District (dissolved by this action) merged into the expanded city of Takayama.
The towns and villages participating in this merger were, from Ono District, Asahi, Kiyomi, Kuguno, Miya, Nyukawa, Shokawa, and Takane, and, from Yoshiki District, Kamitakara and Kokufu.
On March 1, 2004 all four towns and the village from the former Mashita District (dissolved by this action) merged, forming the city of Gero.

Although I wished we had more co-op japan students near us in Gifu, actually I wish there were more people in GENERAL near us.
Anpachi is just in the middle of no where, but in a way, I guess its a good way to get poeple to focus on their work.
Ginza wasn't that spectacular, probably because Anpachi (my town in Japan) has so few people, so I'm not use to the abundance of high-class shops and restaurants.

I wish we had a camera on us at all times, because there are always priceless kodak moments everywhere.
Steve and I think that it would be great to have a photo album on "Life of Anpachi" filled with pictures that we could all cry (probably not), laugh, or cry laughing about years later.
Yeah, we were all pretty glad that it wasn't "the Big One" that'll put little Anpachi on national and international news.
