		Anpan was very popular, not only because of its taste, but also because the Japanese were interested in anything new and foreign at this time.
		This anpan was presented to the Meiji emperor on April 4, 1875.

		One day a man called Takayuki Yamaoka who loved Anpan, a chamberlain of the Meiji emperor, requested the Tokugawas who was the ruler of Japan before Meiji, to present Anpans to the emperor when visiting him.
		This Anpan was presented to the Meiji emperor on April 4, 1875.

		Anpan is the oldest type of bread in Japan and it was invented in 1873 by a man interested in bread.
		He tested using yeast in bread and discovered that he was able to make the softest bread by doing so.
		After the anpan was introduced, many kinds of bread with filling was invented.
