Michael Schenker, who is also known for his early work with the Scorpions, is a great guitarist, but I could never bring myself to fork over the bucks for his cds that are more common as pricey imports than as anything domestic.
While I find this album to be excellent both in musicianship and in songcraft, I don't pick it up and listen to it very often.

This is a great collection of underrated UFO material that basically consists of 2 full releases(High Stakes & Dangerous Men and Live In Texas) and half of the tracks from Lights Out - Live In Tokyo.
If you already have these albums there is really nothing new here, but if not this is a great way to get them all in one nice package.
The album is typical UFO with songs that range from full out rockers to bluesy tunes to gentler mid tempo songs.

This band seems right on the brink of cookin’ up a real blockbuster of an album, they are damned close on this release.
I think you will have to wait for the next one to start hearing about UFO like you did in their heyday, then again perhaps the old glory days cannot ever be captured again, stranger things have happened though.
This is a solid album well worth checking out for old and young rockers alike.

UFO 'Lights Out' makes it into 'Record Collector's (editor@rcmag.demon.co.uk) 200 20th Century Essential Albums (in the 'Rock' category) alongside albums such as Sticky Fingers, Machine Head (the album not the group), Boston, Live and Dangerous, Slippery When Wet and Hysteria among others.
People in Japan obviously want to be able to give UFO albums as Christmas presents as most of their back catalogue is being reissued.
The albums Real World and Danger of Infection are to both be released in the US on 22 February 2000.

Michael Schenker began his career with his brother Rudolph and the Scorpions while in his mid-teens and shortly thereafter was spotted by English group UFO and was asked to join them for their first Chrysalis record, Phenomenon.
Leaving UFO, Schenker appeared with the Scorpions on their "Lovedrive" album before going solo and completing the album "MSG" in 1980, Schenker continued to tour and build a reputation and "MSG," the Michael Schenker Group, centered on Michael's creative direction that ran five years and produced five successful records.
As with all great groups, demand in the marketplace for Michael to return to UFO grew and Michael and the group reunited in the 90's and delivered the critically acclaimed record, "Walk On Water" in 1995.
