I am the secretary of the Mid-Atlantic Horror Professionals and edit the newsletter for that group, and I’m a co-editor of the 2005 MAHP anthology “Travel Guide to the Haunted Mid-Atlantic Region”.

I tend to gravitate toward character-driven fantasy, and don't much care for anything contemporary (pity there's so much "contemporary" fantasy of late--and go figure; I'm trying to write contemporary fantasy).
I almost always write fantasy, with a dash of science fiction thrown in now and then.
A single pitiful short story in a student anthology, and it was unpaid.

Others have very interesting plots (such as "The Why of Fry"-which reveals a secret that Groening had planned from the beginning- and the episode where Fry is killed).
A few episodes have them get together at the end, but then this is quickly forgotten about in the next episode, and the plot of Fry trying to woo Leela will start from scratch again a few episodes later.
Also, seasons 2 and 3 had included the episodes "Anthology of Interest I & II" which are homologous to the Simpsons "Treehouse of Horrors".

Here we get such classic episodes as Raging Bender where Bender becomes a robot wrestler, Anthology of Interest I where the Professor’s “what-if?” machine is used to make up some short subject scenes and War is the H-Word with the always-hilarious Zap Brannigan in the lead.
I can understand why these seasons are being chopped up into volumes, as the first season only had 9 episodes…but I would’ve lobbied for a combo 1st & 2nd season right from the start if I could’ve.
Those are probably the best of the extras, but we get a few more items anyway…animatics, storyboards, international clips and a few easter eggs cover the rest.

 San Diego Comic Con 2003 - Day 1
I picked up three new pieces over the weekend and all can be seen in the Production Art section.
The pieces are Zoidberg, L'rrr and a group shot of Leela, Bender, Fry, Zoidberg and Nibbler skipping from The Wiz segment of Anthology of Interest II.
I won't go into how nice the people at ACME are as I have more to say about them as part of the Day 3 report.
