Anthony LaPaglia (born 31 January 1959) is an Australian actor, best known for his role as FBI agent Jack Malone on the American TV series Without a Trace, a role which won him a Golden Globe Award.
He is married to Australian actress Gia Carides, and is brother to actor Jonathan LaPaglia, and to Michael LaPaglia, both of whom are also currently based in the United States.
In the 1980s LaPaglia was a football (soccer) goalkeeper in the National Soccer League, playing for Adelaide City and West Adelaide.

Born in Adelaide, Australia, Anthony LaPaglia’s first career choice was to be a teacher, but after three months on the job, he realized his heart wasn’t in it.
LaPaglia likes to research his roles, and to play Detective Leon Zat in the film, he spent 48 hours with two Sydney detectives, sitting in the back of their car while they were on duty.
