Michael Anthony Thomas Charles Hall (born April 14, 1968), known professionally as Anthony Michael Hall, is an American actor, producer and director who achieved stardom in several successful teen-oriented films of the 1980s.
Anthony Michael Hall was born in West Roxbury, a neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts.
Hall is committed to aiding at-risk youth through his literacy program, The Anthony Michael Hall Literacy Club, in association with Chapman University.

Hall told me that Lewis was not the first choice for the shock jock role, rather, Michael Richards was who everyone originally wanted.
Hall told me that Lewis the comic is so reminiscent of Lenny Bruce to him because all of Lewis' standup is autobiographical and he always talks about his demons and challenging his demons with alcohol and everything.
