| | Anti-Depressants: A Faulty Race to the Answer? - Crusader - Opinions |
 | | Depression is most thought of as biological, and therefore, in need of drug therapy; however, there are also types of this disorder that are sociological and psychological which require a different kind of solution. |
 | | A startling part of these cases is that though the FDA has not "approved" certain anti-depressants for depressed children, and recently even acknowledged that use of these drugs can trigger suicidal thoughts in teenagers, physicians can still prescribe whatever they want to whomever they want, and this throwing of weight is quite alarming. |
 | | And though careful monitoring of the use of anti-depressants is to be taken into account for their success, it is still a great issue that psychologically, most anyone who thinks they "have" to take an anti-depressant will feel abnormal for being in such dire need of drug therapy. |
