		Some critics, especially proponents of the ethnocentric Neofolk genre, claim that this type of American 'progressive' folk is not folk music at all, but 'antifolk'.
		This is based on the idea that as liberal politics supposedly eschews the importance of ethnicity, it is incompatible with all folkish traditions.
		Another trend is "antifolk," begun in New York City in the 1980s by Lach [3] in response to the confines traditional folk music.

		I was astonished when going to my local library, looking through their documentary section, to see their total absence of even one AntiFolk video.
		Much like the punk rock that so many AntiFolks modelled their acoustic art on, the original fire died down fairly quickly, leaving acts homeless and an artform floundering.
		When the album came out, though, it became clearer that at least some of his inspiration was at the Fort.
